The Law Of Increase: 3 Easy Steps To Harness Its Power by Michael Lee

According to many experts in the field of manifestation and attraction, the law of increase states that whatever you’re grateful for - be it time, money or opportunities - you’ll get more of now and in the future.

Everything you appreciate manifests in more quantities as the universe itself expands every second.

The law of increase sounds pretty much like a fairy god mother come true, but how can you harness this power? Are there qualifications? Is there a ritual?

This article shows you 3 easy steps to unlock its potential.

Step 1: Start A Gratitude Journal.

When you start a gratitude journal, you are exercising the law of increase appropriately. It might not be your cup of tea (you can’t even keep your receipts let alone a journal); but if you want to harness this power, then you’ll have to start here.

It’s not all that difficult. And to be quite frank, it’s actually very empowering. Every statement that says you’re grateful for something changes you and makes you a happier person. Each entry raises your vibrational level, where you now complement those vibrations that the universe is at, making your dreams more achievable.

Step 2: Respond To Your Feelings.

The more grateful you are, the more you’ll feel the stirrings of the universe inside you. You know what I mean. When you’re happy and grateful for whatever it is you have achieved, you get a strange sensation starting from the pit of your stomach (or for others, right inside their chest).

Follow these feelings and allow yourself to connect with the universe. Some say they feel tingling along their arms and fingers. Respond to the vibrations that your body is manifesting and wait for more blessings to come down to you.

Step 3: Visualize.

Visualization is also a good way to harness the law of increase. Visualize the things you’re grateful for and the things you want to have more of.

Feel the vibrations humming inside your body. Believe the visions that you are supplying the universe with and wait for it to respond in kind.

Whatever you push out to the universe will be given back to you. So if you’re always grateful for getting positive attention from your boss, then expect to have more of that in the future.

When it comes to the law of increase, nothing is impossible. The universe itself is telling you this, so you have no reason to hold yourself back.

Failing To Succeed by Rob Marshall

You can probably remember those days when you were in school and the teacher handed you your test.  The big red letter was circled at the top, to make sure that you didn't miss it, to let you know how well, or how poorly, you had done.  All throughout the test were red marks telling you where you had made a mistake.

It's no wonder that most of us spend a great deal of our time thinking about the mistakes we make in life.  The time that we spent in school, and probably most of the time growing up, and how our parents treated us, taught us to focus on what we had done wrong.  And not only did we focus on the mistakes we had made, we were repeatedly told to stop making them.

Throughout our lives we have come to hate being wrong.  We don't enjoy the embarrassment and negative attention that we get from blowing it, so we try to avoid it at all costs.  We have been well schooled, and we're very good at, fearing failure.  The problem is that it is the fear of failure that causes us to fail in the first place, because we either don't act on our dreams or we quit before we reach them.

I've often looked at that fact that many highly successful people have really blown it at one time in their lives.  Some of them have gone through complete financial ruin and bankruptcy, but have somehow come through the difficulties and made it work.  I've asked myself the question: What is it about going through such complete disasters that seems to actually help someone achieve success?  And a follow on question would be: Do I have to fail in order to succeed?

As far as the first question goes, there are things we learn through failure that we either can't, or won't learn any other way.  The best way to learn compassion and humility is to know what it's like to be on the bottom, which will make us a lot easier to live with when we reach the top.  And if you've been through hard times it's easier to be truly thankful and to not take success for granted.

Of course the greatest advantage is that overcoming failure creates a certain conviction in us that difficulties can be conquered.  And as Mark Twain said, "Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain."  So overcoming failure will help us completely eliminate our fear of it.

When we have come through extremely trying circumstances and seen that failure really isn't fatal, we lose some of the fear that has been drilled into us all our lives.  We begin to recognize that failing only hurts us if we allow the pain and embarrassment to keep us from trying again.  As long as we are still willing to take the risks, learn from our mistakes, and continue working toward our goals, we realize that our mistakes not only can't stop us, they may actually help us.

By learning from our trials and errors we figure out the best way for us to accomplish what we want.  We see what doesn't work, and by modifying or eliminating those behaviors and actions and focusing on what does work, we start moving rapidly toward the fulfillment of our desires.

As to the second question, even though I think that there are benefits, and that many people do seem to go through hardships, we do need to be careful that we don't create the circumstances through our own beliefs.  If we believe that we need to have a really good story, one in which we survived all the bad stuff that life could throw at us but we persevered and made it in spite of the struggles, we may inadvertently manufacture failure.

The truth is that we don't have to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and we can begin to build a life of success from wherever we are.  And while such stories are really dramatic, and many of the people who went through them even treasure the hardships they endured, we still need to believe that success isn't about having a good story.  What success is about is having the faith that we can succeed and then applying the principles of success to our lives on a consistent basis.

There are a few things that we can do to help us overcome our fear of failure and to increase the rate of our success.  The first one is to realize that success in life is not about getting a perfect score on a test.  As Earl Nightingale put it, "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal."  The "progressive realization" is created by an attitude that says, "I won't quit until I have achieved my goal.  I know that I will fail, but I am determined to learn from my mistakes, adjust my actions, and continue on in faith that I must eventually succeed."

The other thing that we can do is to face the fear head on.  Spend some time imagining the worst outcome, and put yourself in that place.  See yourself at the end of your rope, when everything has gone the exact opposite of what you had intended, and ask yourself: How does this feel?  What does this really mean to me?  Am I still alive?  Will the sun still rise in the morning?  What will have really changed?

When we shine the light of truth on our fears we find out that they are really based on lies and half-truths.  We believe that failing will ruin us, but the truth is that we will most likely still be alive and still have another chance to change things.  We will see that even as bad as it could possibly be, there will still be hope, and hope is a very powerful thing.

When we conquer our fears we become invincible.  And once we silence those internal voices, the ones that sound a lot like our parents and first-grade teacher who told us we would never amount to much, we will find the strength and courage to persevere in the pursuit of our goals.  And we will find that "failing" is the only way to succeed.

The same faith that helped David defeat Goliath is in everyone of us. In "Taking On Goliath - How To Unleash The David In All Of Us," author Rob Marshall shows you how to unleash your faith, overcome any obstacle, and live your dreams. Get two free chapters at:

Quotes About Gratitude That Makes You And Everyone Else Feel Good by Michael Lee

Reading quotes about gratitude has such a wonderful effect on the human psyche. It reinforces positive feelings in us and allows us to give more of ourselves to others. Call it the gift that keeps on giving. It’s quite inspiring, isn’t it?

Read these motivational quotes about gratitude to inspire you to be more appreciative of the people, things and situations around you.

Quote # 1 About Gratitude: “Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.” - G.B. Stern

Even if you do feel grateful, it has little to no effect when you keep it to yourself. When a person helps you out, you need to automatically say “thank you.”

Think about how you spent your day today. Were you grateful that your friend defended you? Were you grateful that it didn’t rain today? Were you grateful that the nice guy from the subway gave up his seat for you?

The next thing you have to ask is, did you at least show gratitude? Besides, not voicing out your gratitude robs you of the opportunity to feel good by making others feel good!

Quote # 2 About Gratitude: “If the only prayer you said in your whole life was 'Thank You,' that would suffice.” - Meister Eckart

This inspirational quote puts the idea of gratitude up there as a universal thing. Whether you are religious or not - as long as you remember to say thanks to those who have helped you or given you something - then your heart is in the right place.

It also goes to show that age, race or culture doesn’t change the fact that showing your appreciation is still important.

Quote # 3 About Gratitude: “God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds a day, have you used one to say 'Thank you?'” - William A. Ward

Sometimes, life becomes too fast-paced and you lose sight of the idea of gratitude. This motivational quote serves as a reminder to say “thank you” as often as you can.

If you even try saying “thank you” at least once a day, you’d be surprised at how light you feel at the end of the week.

You don’t have to wait for someone to give you a present for you to be grateful. Just having the chance to live another day is reason enough to appreciate life the moment you wake up. Life is short. At least, make the effort to brighten it up with gratitude.

Quotes about gratitude help put things into perspective for everybody. How about you? What are your reflections?

Expressing Gratitude – The Key To Success by Yu Shan

Those who are interested in using the power of attraction to their benefit already know they need to be ready to accept what is attracted to their new found positive way of thinking.  However, opening your eyes to all the opportunity around you can be difficult, especially if you live a busy life.  Really engaging with the process of recognizing and expressing gratitude will allow you to systematically become aware of where all your gifts have come from in the past and, give you ideas where to look for future gifts.

It is not that the Universe requires you to make some sort of penance for your success – it’s not a punitive system.  However, just like training negativity out of your mind, training yourself to be a “receiver” requires a systematic approach to retraining your mind into new patterns of thought.  Whether it’s slouching or constantly focusing on what you don’t want, retraining your self to see what is available to you from all possible angles is a skill that can only be acquired through practice.

Consider how improbable it is that you’ve come even this far.  Not only do you have your parents to thank for actually being here in the first place, but there are no doubt a great many people that made it possible for you to the curious, thinking person you are today.  The act of thinking back on your life and just realizing the monumental contributions others have made towards even your most modest successes is just as valuable as actually acknowledging and feeling sincere gratitude.

Even if the person in question was, “just doing their job,” you know you’d not be even as far as you are today if they hadn’t done their job that day or that year.  Our society is an interconnected web of billions of people doing their jobs.  Now, imagine how many more ties there are between people on a more fundamental level.

Thankfully, being grateful is easy.  We attract opportunity to ourselves, first by thinking positively about what we want but more fundamentally; opportunities are created when someone feels good about you.  Telling someone you appreciate how his or her efforts have helped you out is a powerful way to become someone that people want to help out.

Therefore, the power that is inherent when you practice sincere gratitude is two-fold.  Firstly, you’ll learn to spot benefit where you may not have even recognized it before.  It will allow you to be more proactive about seizing opportunities as they arise.  Secondly, letting people know you appreciate them will re-enforce the existing energetic connection between yourself and others who can help you in realizing your goals.

Do You Find It Hard To Feel Gratitude? by Elaine Currie

Writing a list of the good things in your life can help you to establish an attitude of gratitude.

Many people seeking to improve their situation through using the power of positive thought find it difficult to cultivate feelings of gratitude.  This is not because they are actively ungrateful or even careless of the reasons they have to feel gratitude.  These are just ordinary people who have never before tried to develop an attitude of gratitude and they find it hard to get started.

Many people have come across the phrase "attitude of gratitude" for the first time through its use in the best-selling book and video, The Secret.  For a lot of the people who watch the DVD or read the book this will be their first encounter with the idea that positive thinking can change lives.  When they decide to try to employ the techniques described in books such as The Secret, they find developing an attitude of gratitude very difficult.

To understand why this should be true, you only need to look at the reasons people have for trying to use the techniques.  The one thing all these people have in common is that they want something.  This is true whether they desire success in business, happiness in their personal relationships, a cure for illness, wealth, improved strength or any of the myriad material and metaphysical goals humanity can devise.  They want something, they are not satisfied with their lives as they are at this time.

Many people taking the first step towards living in an attitude of gratitude, cannot see what reason they have to be grateful.  Their thoughts keep returning to the things they want to change.  They cannot find the way to shift their focus away from the cause of their feelings of dissatisfaction.  For these people to truly acquire an attitude of gratitude, they need to understand that dissatisfaction and gratitude are not mutually exclusive.  It is a question of focus.  Focusing on the pleasing things in your life is positive.  Thinking about the reasons to be dissatisfied with your current circumstances is negative.

Most of the people struggling to develop an attitude of gratitude, aren't beset by serious problems or deep suffering.  They are ordinary folk who want to achieve their full potential.  The difficulty they have is in shifting their focus away from thoughts of what they are wishing to achieve and onto the abundance they already have in their lives.  They do not realise that they can counteract a negative thought with a positive one and they do not understand how simple that is to do.

It is natural that thoughts of present difficulties will recur.  You cannot prevent negative thoughts from popping into your head.  The key to achieving true feelings of gratitude and well-being is to use positive ideas to overwhelm these negative thoughts.  This is achieved by actively thinking of a positive thing every time a negative thought occurs.  This is what many people fail to grasp.  They think they have to prevent themselves from having negative thoughts and, when they fail to achieve this, they give up.

When starting the exercise of feeling gratitude, it is a good idea to write down a list of reasons to be grateful.  This list need not be very long and it can include anything you like.  For example, you could start with the fact that you are in good health, that your family is well, that you have a good relationship with your partner, that you have a place to live, that you have nourishing food to eat.  It is your list so include anything that will work for you, no matter how trivial it might seem.  If you feel blessed to have that warm winter coat in your favorite color, include that.  Keep copies of your list where you will be able to read it to remind yourself of the reasons you have to feel gratitude any time negative thoughts try to overtake you.

If you find yourself thinking a negative thought eg "I hate the fact that I have to go out in the freezing cold to get the groceries", counteract that negativity by thinking "I will enjoy the trip to the store because I have my lovely coat to keep me warm".  No matter if the little niggling negative thought seems trivial, make sure to counteract it with a positive thought.  After a little practise, this will become almost as natural as breathing.  You won't be able to allow a negative thought to exist without burying it under a positive thought.

Working at home requires a great deal of self-motivation.  You can pick up some motivational tips at Elaine Currie's free Work At Home Directory at http://www.huntingvenus.com where you will also find the best ways to make money online.

My 14 Vows of Success by wisdomisgreat

Dear Lord, thank you that today you wake-up my mind from a depth sleep. Thank you for reminding me that today is the preparation of my future success. Thank you for helping me to realize that life is full of hardships, pains, sorrows, and trials. Then, the only way to beat these odds is to face and take it as a challenge of life and so just continue on improving myself. Therefore, beginning today dear Lord, I will not waste my time for idleness, laziness, cowardness, and timidity instead I will use it as an opportunity for the improvement of my being.

Beginning today, I will take charge of my mind. I’ve learned from my life experiences that if I think a negative, the result is always a negative. But If I think a positive, the result is always a positive.

Beginning today, I will take charge of my mouth. I’ll be careful and tactful in my words when I am engaging in conversation with my beloved fellow human being. I know that life and death is in the power of the tongue.

Beginning today, I will take good care of my health. For it is my only investment and tools to reach my goals and dreams in life.

Beginning today, I will take charge of my emotions. Everyday, I will motivate myself to act as an educated and emotionally mature individual. If happened that I encountered insult and disappointment, I will just remind myself that this too, shall pass!

Beginning today, I will put the others first and serve them honestly with love and care. For these are my only chance to share the love, kindness and blessings from Above.

Beginning today, I will teach myself to be compassionate, humble, lovable, and open-minded in dealing with people. I’ve learned from the counsels and writings of the great men of the ages that being a compassionate, humble, lovable, and open-minded person is the best cure in healing of the old wounds of the broken-hearted. That can help to cast out the doubts, feeling of inferiority and hatred in their hearts and minds. It can also be the best technique in winning the hearts of the wicked men and eventually to become his friend.

Beginning today, I will teach myself the importance of hard work, honesty, sincerity, time management, frugality, initiative, planning, creativeness, determination, patience, persistence, enthusiasm, cooperation, extra mile, faith, and trust in myself. For these are the secret of success in any field of works.

Beginning today, I will embrace all the hardships, pains, sorrows, and trials as a challenge and stepping-stone for success. Trials are medicines which my Loving God prescribed because I need them. He proportions the frequency and weight of them to what the case requires. Therefore, let me trust His skill, and eventually thank Him for His prescription.

Beginning today, I will nurture my character. For my character is the only shield to protect and cover my reputation against the trap and honey words of the wicked individuals.

Beginning today, I will improve myself. I will encourage and teach myself the importance of self-respect and self-discipline. For these are the foundations of success.

Beginning today, I will treasure the importance of reading good books. Books are the best, wise, patient mentors, professors of all any colleges and universities in the world. Books are the best source of knowledge and wisdom. It can help me to become more discerning, depth and great thinker.

Beginning today, I will practice to have my own originality. Today is my only chance that I can prove and show to the world that I am a unique man created by the loving hands of the Almighty God. That have has a mission and vision to fulfill. To plant the seeds of my uniqueness and productivity in this land!

Beginning today, I will remove from my words and vocabulary such words and phrases: defeat, failure, improvable, impossible, hopeless, and retreat for these are the words and vocabulary of the fools and losers.

Finally, beginning today, I will make my Loving God as a partner in every plans and decisions of life. With Him, I can do all things that others think and sees it is impossible!

Now, with these precious short 14 vows of success in my hands, If I just diligently follow each precept daily and put it in my heart and mind, surely! I’ll be the most happiest and successful person in the future.

Rituals: Your secret weapon for getting what you want! by Cari Vollmer

Even if you don't think you have rituals in your life, you do. For example, Do you brush your teeth every morning? That's a ritual. Do you eat lunch pretty much at the same time everyday? That's a ritual. Do you go to bed at the same time every evening? That's a ritual, too.
However, if you're like most people, I bet a lot of your rituals are pretty unconscious and feel more like a habit than anything more meaningful. You do them because you've always done them. But, have you ever wondered how they truly serve your life?
Rituals, or meaningful and consistent routines, are actions you take for the sake of keeping you on track and focused on the big picture you have for your life.
For example, everyday I read something that will help me grow as a business owner. Everyday! It has become such an important part of my day I always make time for it. Reading material that will help me become a wiser, more effective business owner serves my goal of building a successful business I love.
Another ritual I have is to take a mid-afternoon break, everyday, to quiet my mind and get in touch with what my gut is telling me. This time helps me reconnect to my spirit and that helps me stay on track. I LOVE this time I've made for myself. Love it!
The rituals you create should be things you WANT to do, rather than things you think you "should" do. The basic idea of a ritual is for it to be something you look forward to doing. Rituals will enhance your life and they are fun to do. Rituals are conscious actions you take that serve the life you are choosing to create.
Examples of life-giving rituals include:
*Eating a healthy breakfast everyday
*Daily reading of spiritual, personal growth and success books
*Daily quiet time
*Attending weekly mastermind group
*Lighting a candle before important conversations
*Exercising
*Twice monthly massages
*Prayer
*Giving thanks at the end of each day for the gifts that day brought your way
*Beginning each day with a plan, or intention
*Eating dinner with your family, at the table, each night
*Kissing and hugging every family member before going to sleep.
*Telling the people you love, you love them, everyday
*Flossing your teeth daily
*Taking your vitamins everyday
*Drinking lots of water everyday
The idea is for your rituals to be fun and supportive and something you WANT to do.
Success in life is a result of taking a few good actions, over and over again, until you achieve the results you want. Rituals will add substance to your actions and make life feel more meaningful.
